BS’D
When we increase our emuna that all the parts of us are created perfectly imperfect by an All Perfect Being, we are more willing and able to accept our weaknesses. This acceptance of our foibles and sins is the first, essential step to change.
Thus, increasing our emuna increases our chances of self-acceptance and self-love. In turn, this increases our courage to ‘patch our holes’ by honestly acknowledging we need G-dly help to correct our inherent flaws and fulfill our Divine mission. As we pray in the after-bracha, we bless G-d for our deficiencies “which sustain the life of every being.”
Feel & Heal Exercise of the day:
Acknowledge your weaknesses. Face them with love. Realize that they actually help you to stay in this World and fulfil your G-dly purpose. Close your eyes and think of one particular struggle you are currently facing. Imagine it is a hole in your heart. Now embrace it and imagine the hole filling up with self-love.
