Today’s daily dose of emuna is dedicated to the refuah shleimah of Chaya Leah Bat Baila and Baila Rachel Bat Chaya Leah a mother and baby, both are experiencing serious complications after given birth a few days ago. May Hashem send them a complete healing among all of Klal Yisrael who are sick and suffering b’mheira, b’rachamim, Amen.

In Parshat Toldot (25:28) the Torah describes Eisav,“… Esav, for game was in his mouth.” The Torah teaches that one dominant character trait of Eisav’s was his deception. Though he shows one thing on the outside, he felt something else on the inside. The United Nations correspond to the modern day Eisav as they predominantly emanate from his lineage. Although the UN voted and passed a right for the Jewish People to establish the State of Israel, it nevertheless continues to side with the Palestinian right to establish a state on the same ground. By funding Israel’s enemies and painting Israel as evil wrongdoers, the UN are contradicting their original pledge and acting with deception.

The Divine master plan is unraveling, leading the world to the Final Redemption. B’H. The war of Gog and Magog is the final stage which will bring the Redemption to completion. There are five main reasons for the war:

  1. All evil must be removed from the world in order for redemption to occur.
  2. The entire world must openly come to know and serve Hashem and proclaim, Ata Hu HaMelech
  3. Hashem must avenge the suffering and blood of the Jewish people.
  4. The Jewish people must receive their riches back, just as they did in Yetziat Mitzraim.
  5. The war will spiritually refine those souls who merit witnessing the Geulah.

According to Masechet Brachot, this war of Gog and Magog will be different from all previous wars. The wonders and miracles will be indescribable and incomparable to any of those in the past. But we need to act now. We need to prepare now. We need to wipe away the falsehood  now. And we need to daven for all the lost souls so that they too can merit experiencing the Geula.

Be proactive. Talk Geula. Think Geula. Prepare for Geula.

Today’s daily dose of emuna is dedicated l’iluy nishmat Esther bat Jamilla a’h and Moshe ben Esther a’h. May their neshamas bask in the Divine radiance of the Shechinah HaKedosha together with all of the righteous souls who have departed from this world, Amen.

In every Jewish Neshama lies the knowledge that the Geula is coming.

Every moment of Galut prepares us for the Geula. The Tanya HaKadosh (chapter 37) teaches that every thought, deed and speech we utter in this lowly world essentially elevates and redeems another holy spark. By considering these times of Galut as a preparatory phase, it may become easier to confront the difficulties of the current exile.

The Ba’al Shem Tov HaKadosh teaches that every single Jew can swim over a river ‘with a handkerchief”, if he has sufficient emuna that this is all he needs. In this world, we are here on a mission that transcends nature. Emuna needs to be as real as our own existence, as tangible as our own bodies. Emuna is Hashem’s gift given to the Jewish people, forged as a result of being created and animated by a G-dly soul.

The Jewish people are a great nation on a G-dly mission. We are working towards the final redemption. Our final redemption is completely dependent on our emuna. Unlike the past, Hashem has promised that this redemption will be permanent, it will not be followed by another exile. This is it folks! Hold on to your emuna and keep your ears open for the final blasts of the Shofar heralding the Mashiach!

Today’s daily dose of emuna is dedicated L’iluy nishmat Yaakov ben Mendel and Netanel ben Yaakov HY’D who were both brutally murdered this past Friday while driving to their daughter’s Auf-Ruf. May Hashem avenge their blood and may there be no more suffering in Klal Yisrael, b’karov, b’rachamim, Amen.
One day it’ll happen.  With the eternal hope that Klal Yisrael has… the redemption will arrive. One of the ways Chazal suggest that we prepare for it is by expanding our vessel!?  Become excited, talk about the geulah, plan, think and introduce the concept into your own lives. What impact does this have on your lives?  Let’s see.

Inject geula into our cleaning – sing as you imagine you will soon be sweeping the floors in the Beit HaMikdash, IY’H.

Inject geula into your relationships – put the stress you are experiencing into perspective as though Mashiach arrived right now; the evil inclination will soon be removed from our midst.

Inject geula into your bank account – money will be scattered as sand on a beach.

Hear your neighbors yelling out, “Wanna come to the shul down the street. Rashi is giving an amazing class on Sefer Bereshis” and “Who wants a ride to Yerushalayim?  I hear the Leviim are singing today.”  Jump out of the darkness and enter a space without limitation.  Never give up and see it unfold in front of you.

It’s so easy to stay in our inner galut of confusion, pain and even despair. But there is another reality; true reality.  “No Jew Left Behind” – I always said that was the reason for Hillary Clinton’s ‘No Child Left Behind’ campaign.

Everyone will be there. We can experience this right now but reminding ourselves that Hashem is everywhere right now.  Galut is a reality in which Hashem’s presence is withdrawn.  It is in our hands to draw Him into wherever we are.  Just remember. Just think geula!

Today’s daily dose of emuna is dedicated to the refulah shleimah of Malka Esther bat Tziporah.  She is critically ill and in desperate need of our tefillot. May Hashem send her a complete healing among all of Klal Yisrael who are sick and suffering b’karov, b’rachamim, Amen.

Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan in his book ‘The Real Messiah’ writes that whoever wishes to truly see the hand of Hashem at work can.  We are at a stage in history where civilization has developed beyond man’s wildest dreams.  Does the progressive advancement of society foretell the arrival of Mashiach?  Certainly. All has been prophesied and predicted as the Zohar HaKadosh precisely writes, “In the 600th year of the sixth millennium, the gates of wisdom on high and the wellsprings of lower wisdom will be opened.  This will prepare the world to enter the seventh millennium, just as a man prepares himself toward sunset on Friday for the Shabbat.  It is the same here…” The 600th year of the 6thmillennium was the year 5600 (1840) where there was a sudden expansion of secular knowledge; the scientific revolution.

The times we are living in as outlined by the prophets would seem impossible thousands of years ago when made. Yet today with the advancement of technology we can see how ‘grapes can be as large as hen’s egg’ or ‘grains of wheat as big as a fist.’

This era of rapid change is foretold to have a massive impact on the generation gap between parents and children, since children literally feel they are living in a different world, one in which their parents ‘simply don’t understand.’ Many of us undoubtedly experience this in our homes. Chazal describe a sort of spiritual plague, an ailing feeling of constant discontent, of always wanting something new in such a fast-paced ever-changing world.

These are but some of the  signs given to us which we can already see before our eyes.  All of the proposed dates found in the Torah for the arrival of Mashiach have already passed. We can no longer bear the spiritual hardship of the exile.  Those of us who really want to be an ‘Eved Hashem’ feels that Mashiach is very near. B’H, b’karov, b’rachamim, Amen.

More on this subject tomorrow.

Today’s daily dose of emuna is dedicated l’iluy nishmat Ariella Rivka bat Avraham a’h. Her beautiful soul was elevated to the higher realms when she was just over 8 years old.  I had the zechut to know her and to remember her warm smile and contagious enthusiasm of Yiddishkeit. May her neshama bask in the Divine radiance among all of the righteous who have departed from this world, Amen.

Many people currently question the idea of whether we are in the era of the ‘Days of Mashiach.’  They consider the fact that the world is still running regularly as proof that Yemot HaMashiach is still in the distant future.  However, those who are in ‘Geula mode’ should respond, “But haven’t you noticed the chaotic mess this world has become entangled in? Aren’t you aware of the massive changes and upheavals occurring around the world?”

The greatest enigma is how many of us can continue to live life ‘as usual’ despite these tumultuous changes. Particularly during this ‘media age’, we are bombarded with data, information and statistics which reveal but a small portion of the damage and chaos of the current global situation. These media snip-bits do not reveal the full magnitude of the true tragic events.  Despite this (or because of it), we are constantly taken back to ‘business as usual,’ managing to ignore the massive events such as earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis and terror that would have brought the world to a standstill in the past.

We are experiencing the stage immediately preceding the geula shleimah, b’karov, b’rachamim, Amen. The Jewish people should see every event, whether on a personal or universal level, as a direct, Divine message announcing that the ‘Days of Mashiach’ have arrived. ‘Natural disasters’ are one of the ways Hashem forces Klal Yisrael to recognize Him, His power, His capabilities, His compassion and His protection. ‘Mother Nature’ roaring her powerful voice is meant to move us out of our comfortable state and enter to a state of awe. These disasters also arise to force us to recognize Hashem’s kindness and compassion in sheltering us from such disasters until now.

We will continue to explore more about this vast topic in the coming days, B’H.
